What a confused society we live in.

We can be selfish.  Poor winners and losers. Our actions can scream “Look at me!”. But we’re not supposed pray in school, put “In God We Trust” on our money, or make people feel uncomfortable by talking about our faith.

And now, football players are not allowed to point to the sky after scoring a touchdown? Stop the madness, people. We’re going overboard here.

It’s time to stand boldly for what we believe in. Scream it from the hills if we have to. We cannot, and should not have to feel uncomfortable about believing in God and displaying our faith. We’re supposed to be unable to contain ourselves because we want to share our faith. If others reject it, that’s on them – but at least they’ve had the opportunity to make a choice.

Don’t get me wrong, we need to be tactful and I’m not advocating shoving religion down anyone’s throat. But I’m also not advocating taking a passive approach. Our actions speak louder than our words, whether we’re in public or behind closed doors where no one can see us.

How many passive leaders have you followed over the years? Not too exciting, huh?

Think about the people who inspire you. Are they confident? Passionate? Respectful? Caring? Bold? Grateful? Do they have Integrity?

Then why in the world would we want to be a passive society, afraid to share our points of view because we’re afraid of offending others? America is supposed to be a melting pot of people and ideas. We need to remember that and demand it. God Bless!
